1. Introduction
This Lana Prohibited and Restricted Businesses Policy ("Policy") outlines the types of businesses, products, services, and activities that are prohibited or restricted from using the Lana Commerce, Inc. ("Lana," "We," "Us," "Our") platform and services ("Services"). This Policy is incorporated by reference into the Lana Terms of Service ("Agreement") and the Lana Acceptable Use Policy (AUP).
Merchants ("You," "Your") are responsible for ensuring that their business activities, and the products or services they offer through the Lana Services, comply with this Policy, all applicable laws and regulations, and the terms of any integrated third-party service providers, including payment processors.
2. Compliance with Payment Processor Restrictions
Lana utilizes Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe") and may utilize other third-party payment processors to facilitate payment transactions for Merchants. As a condition of using Lana's Services for commerce, Merchants must comply with the policies of Stripe and any other payment processor integrated with their Lana account regarding prohibited and restricted businesses.
- Stripe's Prohibited and Restricted Businesses List: You are prohibited from engaging in any activity or offering any product or service that is listed on Stripe's then-current list of Prohibited and Restricted Businesses. You can typically find Stripe's list here:
https://stripe.com/legal/restricted-businesses
It is Your sole responsibility to review and comply with Stripe's (and any other applicable payment processor's) list of Prohibited and Restricted Businesses and all other terms and conditions. Failure to comply with these third-party policies may result in the suspension or termination of Your payment processing capabilities and/or Your Lana Account.

It is the Merchant's sole responsibility to ensure that all aspects of their business, including the products and services offered, comply with this Lana Prohibited and Restricted Businesses Policy, the policies of our payment processors (including Stripe), and all applicable laws and regulations.
The fact that a business category is listed as "restricted" means that it may be permissible only under specific conditions, with prior written approval from Lana, and potentially subject to enhanced due diligence or additional terms. Operating in a restricted category without such approval constitutes a violation of this Policy.
If you are uncertain whether your business, products, or services are permitted or fall into a restricted category, or if you have questions about this Policy, please contact Lana support at [hello@lana.dev](mailto:hello@lana.dev)
before using the Services for such activities.
5. Policy Enforcement and Updates
Lana reserves the right to investigate any actual, suspected, or potential violation of this Policy. Violations of this Policy may result in a range of actions, including but not limited to:
- Warning the Merchant.
- Requiring the Merchant to cease the prohibited or restricted activity.
- Suspending or terminating the Merchant's Account and access to the Services.
- Withholding funds as permitted by law and payment processor terms.
- Reporting the activity to law enforcement authorities, regulators, or other appropriate third parties.
Lana may update this Lana Prohibited and Restricted Businesses Policy at any time by posting a revised version on its website or by notifying Merchants in accordance with the Agreement. By continuing to use the Services after the effective date of any modifications to this Policy, you agree to be bound by the modified version. It is Your responsibility to review this Policy regularly.
